Thisthisthisthisthis. Let me tell you about my lovely, fantastic inlaws. Seriously, they are great. But all of them - ALL of them, all 20-30 of them - are thin. I am literally the only fat person there. Family meals are crazy stressful for me.

Or one of my oldest friends who I’m kind of avoiding talking to because he always makes “helpful” weight-loss suggestions. His whole family is thin, too.

Or my neighbor, who does the same thing.

I don’t think average-sized people quite understand what it feels like to be afraid to MENTION food in normal conversation because you don’t want to be subject to yet another lecture (however well-intentioned) or a side-eye.

I just want to scream at people sometimes. I gained 25% of my current body weight due to childbirth, a broken thyroid, and medication. Fuck your health advice. You don’t know me.
